Admission to Nursery

Children must be 3 before 1st September to start Nursery. Admission to the Nursery takes place during the Autumn term. We give priority to children resident within our catchment area. At present Nursery admissions are managed by the school. 

We will accept applications via email with scanned documents attached.  You are also able to print a form from this website and complete and return by post with copies of supporting documents.  Please do not send original documents, only photocopies.  There are 2 versions of the form available below - the editable version is for emailing to office@cardinalprimary.hounslow.sch.uk  

 A Nursery place does not guarantee a place in the Reception class for the following year.

 Admission to Reception

 Children must be 4 before 1st September to start in Reception.

If the number of children seeking places exceeds the number of places available, then priority will be given according to the criteria published by the Local Authority. (LA)

Children are normally admitted to Reception classes during September.
Parents must apply online for Reception places through www.hounslow.gov.uk/Admissions

RECEPTION OPEN DAYS IN NOVEMBER 2025

We will be running Open Door Sessions in the Reception from 11.00 to 11.30 on 14th and 21st November.  Please contact the school office to book a place either by email office@cardinalprimary.hounslow.sch.uk or by calling 020 8890 6306 option 2.
 

Other Admissions
Children may be admitted at any time during the school year to classes where there are vacancies. Applications for Reception to Year 6 places need to be made through the Local Authority.

Starting School in Hounslow (Reception class) in September 2026. 

Children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 will start in Reception in September 2026. 

The closing date for applications is 15th January 2026.

Starting Secondary School in Hounslow in September 2026. 

Children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 will transfer from primary school to secondary school in September 2026. 

The closing date for applications is 31 October 2025.
